Poppy seed biscuits have their origin in Silesia. Since Saxony borders directly on Silesia, it did not take long for poppy seeds to enter Saxony. We have been baking our poppy seed stollen in the Dresden bakery since the very beginning.They taste best fresh and have only a limited shelf life. Therefore, the poppy seed stollen is intended for immediate consumption.
The poppy seed stollen are lovingly handmade and formed in a loaf. A thin layer of dough encloses the juicy poppy mass. Post baking, the poppy seed stollen is coated with pure brand butter and sugared. Those who like poppy seeds will love this stollen.
The shelf life of our poppy seed stollen is no longer than 6 weeks. Not rcommended for overseas export.
