Special confectionery products with a long tradition at Conditorei Kreutzkamm
In Europe, tea biscuits spread around the Biedermeier period (ca. 1815-1850), at the same time as the consumption of coffee and tea, which at that time was mainly widespread among aristocrats and the wealthy bourgeoisie. In 1825, the Kreutzkamm confectionery was founded in Dresden and subsequently rose to become a purveyor to the royal court due to its excellent pastries, cakes and pies. We continue this tradition of preparing tea biscuits and other baked goods of the highest quality to this day. We look back with pride on the long, eventful history of our confectionery. The Saxon king visited us regularly to enjoy our specialties in the café and drink coffee. After the complete destruction in the Second World War, Café Kreutzkamm was initially continued in Munich. It was not until years later, in 1991, that we were able to reopen our confectionery in a prime location on the Altmarkt in Dresden. This long family history is still present in our deliberately traditionally designed premises.
Tea biscuits with quality that you can taste
Even today, we reflect on the values that have made our confectionery the oldest family business in Dresden: time, production by hand and a selection of exquisite ingredients. Show your guests your special appreciation by offering them unique tea biscuits from our renowned traditional confectionery. In times when low-cost mass-produced pastries are widely available, individual tea biscuits handmade by passionate confectioners take on a value of their own. Gift your loved ones with high-quality pastries made from real craftsmanship that you can't buy everywhere. With our tea biscuits from the former royal purveyor to the court, drinking coffee becomes a special experience again, where you can pause and enjoy the taste of around 200 years of baking tradition.
